APHRODITE'S LOSS
(Love In The Past)
Adonis, oh, Adonis,
You did not heed my warning
Now you lie dead--
Dead from bravery's display.
Why? So beautiful, so young!
Your foe--the boar--
Was much too strong!
Why didn't you listen--
Now Pride has struck you dead.
My life now seems useless--
I existed for you!
With a love so true--
But, now you are but a flower--
The Anemone in the wind--
Worshipped yet by many.
Oh, Adonis, My Love,
I miss you so!~~~~~~~~~
