The Beauty In The Earth

One can only imagine
Her loveliness--she rose up
Free from the earth!
The sea, the sky, the valleys,
The mountains high
All became her home.

Serene, untouched
By human hands,
She gazed upon the world
And the world envied her.

She knew she could not stay--
As her time faded away,
She returned and once again
Became hidden--hidden from world
The Beauty in the earth.
